Over the last year GEDC has been approached by several interested parties looking for information on the Agriculture Sector and possibilities in the Greenstone area. As a result we approached Ms. Kendal Donahue, Ontario Agriculture Development Advisor, Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Thunder Bay, to do a presentation at our 2018 AGM. The Business Capacity Inventory project is a partnership between Greenstone Economic Development Corporation (GEDC), Greenstone Gold Mines, AV Terrace Bay Inc. and the Municipality of Greenstone.

This report was compiled to update Greenstone Stakeholders and the business community, on the tracking and results of the projects and activities that stemmed from the 2014 BR+E project recommendations. To review there were 59 recommendations which resulted in over a hundred project and activities. 

GEDC encourages and strengthens the growth of new and existing business in the Greenstone region through resources, knowledge and support. Some of these no-cost services include but not limited to: access to capital through our 3-Tier lending program; business workshops, seminars and training; advisory and counselling services.
